I'm feeling a touch of gilt

Hi hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

Over here I've been busy taking photographs at the beach of hubby participating in a 1.5km ocean swim off Collaroy Beach for the Surf Life Saving Clubs to raise funds and awareness. Conditions were ideal with no swell nor rips, just clear water where even with 10 metres to the sand I'm told you could see the seafloor.  Some pictures will follow tomorrow.

In the meantime I've amassed some shots of wonderously subtle interiors from Denmark.

Stencilled cabinet drawers contrasted with chrome draftsmans swivel stool. I'm loving the touches of yellow and gold featured throughout these neutral interiors.

A couple of Platner chairs in the lounge room of this Copenhagen apartment.

An old conservatory houses an imported antique french daybed.

A vintage collection of hat display stands make for an interesting focal point.

White floors and walls are almost clinical, though they work well here set with an antique Chinese painted armoire with butterfly detail.

The black fan coral against a pale coffee wall is my favourite.

I love an assortment of chairs at table. This collection look quite at home along the length of a raw dining table.

1950's veneer sideboard or credenza has renewed appeal with a replica Philippe Stark wineglass stool.

Love the dark floors here which add to the drama of this atelier. An unusual light globe chandelier hangs above the scene.

Have a great Sunday.
